Meet Henry
I was rescued from Downey shelter October 2014 badly injured from being hit by a car. My foster mommy came and got me and she and her dear friends/ family pitched in and got me the surgery I needed to walk again and potty on my own. It took almost 6 months of rehab but now I have a forever family and I’m back to new! My foster mommy got the idea to start this non profit foundation to help other doggies like me. We all deserve to be wanted, safe, and loved.
Love and wet kisses, Hen
What We Do
Henry’s Hope Foundation is a foster-based, non-profit foundation inspired by our favorite Jack Russell Terrier Henry, dedicated to saving the lives of abandoned animals.
We are a volunteer-based group committed to pulling dogs from high kill animal shelters in So. California and providing them with medical attention, spay/neuter (ouch!) vaccinations, microchips, and ultimately finding them safe and loving homes.
We work in conjunction with fellow rescue groups / partners to optimize our vision of making Los Angeles and surrounding counties NO KILL.
San Diego just did it and we are striving to get there as well. The thing is, we need EVERYBODY to pitch in.
It really does take a village.
